award for Online Tech
Founded in 1994 as one of the area’s first internet providers, Online Tech has celebrated over 20% annual growth since 2003 when CEO Yan Ness led new ownership and encouraged significant investment into creating the area’s most-trusted IT infrastructure partner. Now considered an industry leader in secure, compliant enterprise hosting & cloud services, Online Tech grew to four data center locations in Michigan and expanded into Indiana with the opening of a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of downtown Indianapolis in 2014.
“The landscape is littered with companies who couldn’t survive the paradigm shift from dial-up to fiber; web hosting to the cloud; or servers to data centers. We’ve not just survived, but thrived in that changing environment by quickly developing outstanding new products that deliver an exceptional experience. 75% of what we sell today the industry didn’t offer 3 years ago. That’s a tough environment to thrive in and so it’s something we are very proud of achieving,” said Yan Ness, CEO of Online Tech.
“The FastTrack awards are proof positive that this region has the right assets in place to fuel successful businesses,” said Paul Krutko, president and CEO, Ann Arbor SPARK. “These growing companies are creating jobs, attracting investment, and improving our region’s economy, and the impact is undeniable: Job growth in Washtenaw has consistently outpaced the nation’s and the state’s. In the last five years, jobs here have grown by seven percent, compared to four percent in Michigan and three percent in the country.”
“Ann Arbor has been our home for 20 years. The local support from the community for candidates, clients, vendors and even financing has been instrumental to our success,” added Ness.
Online Tech currently has five locations throughout Michigan and Indiana offering cloud, colocation, offsite backup and disaster recovery services. From healthcare and financial services to retail, SaaS and other regulated fields, Online Tech’s services cover a wide array of business verticals, while continuously improving its offered services with enhancements including one of the country’s first all-flash cloud that meets key regulatory compliance.
